Southend Creative Network

Southend Creative Network is pleased to invite all creative businesses, big or small, to this networking event at the Westcliff Hotel.

This year the Network will be working alongside the Multi-Author Signing #AuthorsAt…event, run by Lizzie Chantree – part of Essex 2020 celebration.

Alison Dewey from Southend-on-Sea Borough Council will be setting the scene by offering a brief talk then leading a discussion around the development of the Southend’s Cultural Ambitions. Southend Culture Vision will be co-produced with the people of Southend. The local cultural and creative sector are seen as a vital source of information and your involvement will help us to identify priorities and shape the future of cultural activity in Southend.

South East Creatives [SECCADS] project, funded partly by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), will also be there to introduce the grants (non repayable of up to £20,000), business support, mentoring and internship opportunities that are on offer to cultural, creative and digital businesses operating in Essex, Kent and East Sussex.

And finally Lizzie Chantree, author and creative business mentor will be talking about her #CreativeBizHour mentoring session on Twitter as well as her book group on Facebook. She will briefly introduce the Multi-Author Signing #AuthorsAt … event on the night and invite you to the preview session with the authors straight after the networking.
