ACL are offering FREE training in Microsoft Office and Social Media to employers in Essex. You can come along to all four sessions or just one, two or three. This training is funded by the European Social Fund and offers employees the chance to expand their knowledge of office software. This is higher standard training so for people with good existing skills at level 2. There are four 3-hour sessions covering Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as learning more about using Social Media for business/work. Choose which dates you would like to attend. All we ask is for you commit to make sure you will be able to attend the ones you choose as these are booked for the free funding. In the event of non-attendance a fee may be charged to the employer.
Eligibility is for SMEs, so employing under 250 staff and employers will be required to complete an organisational training needs analysis form at the outset plus sign off the employee individual learning plan immediately at the end of the course.
This is a non-accredited course, the subjects covered will be taught at a level 3 and there are no assessments involved. The sessions are designed to give you the knowledge and understanding to optimise your skills and help you carry out tasks quickly, easily and more professionally. You will need to have a good basic understanding of the applications you are interested in. Subjects covered will include: –
In this session we will look at working within tables with tasks including merging tables, converting text to table, sorting tables using multi levels and adding formula to tables. Other subjects covered may include applying passwords and read only, creating a Macro and working with columns
The session will concentrate on looking at Pivot Tables and filter, sorting and grouping data with Pivot Tables. Working with charts and if there is time it may be possible to look at conditional formatting and validation rules
Look at ways of making your presentation more appealing to your audience. Look at how to make use of Master Slides to improve both the production and professional appearance of presentations. How to use SmartArt to create a Hierarchy Chart, how to link to Excel when using charts, inserting links and YouTube files.
Social Media to help with your business. Come and learn how to decide which social media platform is best for use with your business. How to compose effective post. Create a Facebook or Twitter business page and use the administrative function on Facebook and Twitter to improve security and give you more control over your tasks.
