NAVIGATING BUSINESS CHANGE IN 2021 | KEY CONSIDERATIONS AND IMPLICATIONS FOR EMPLOYERS
From 30 June, the UK’s green list for travel is being expanded to include Spain’s Balearic Islands, Barbados, Bermuda, Madeira and Malta and travellers returning from those countries will not need to quarantine. This list is reviewed every 3 weeks with Portugal previously on the green list but moved to amber from 8 June, meaning anyone travelling back after that date now has to isolate for 10 days upon their return.
As we move further into summer and your people start to think of booking holidays, it’s essential you’re confident in managing any travel-related quarantine periods your employees may have to undertake, as well manage annual leave requests in your business.
If you’re unsure on your rights as an employer, the best way to tackle these challenges or just need a refresher, join this free, 60-minute webinar where, led by HR and Employment Law experts, it will cover some key questions and considerations for employers in the coming weeks, including:
- What is the position on foreign travel and how does the new traffic light system work?
- What should employees get paid during periods of mandatory self-isolation?
- Can I force an employee to take a mandatory travel-related quarantine period as holiday?
- Managing annual leave during COVID-19, including your rights on cancelling employees’ annual leave.
- How to represent holidays in your furlough calculations and how much should you pay.
As HR and Health & Safety experts, their focus is on helping businesses like yours navigate change safely, smoothly and effectively, so you will also have the opportunity to ask any business-specific questions you may have.
