The webinar will cover all the key legal aspects of construction noise and vibration. It will address the powers local authorities have to counter unacceptable noise and vibration via the Control of Pollution Act 1974, Environmental Protection Act 1990 (Sections 79-82) and the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (Section 183). It will also look at the remedies available to constructors to avoid prosecution such as Best Practicable Means and entering into Section 61 Agreements with local authorities. Real world examples will be presented to illustrate the use of these Acts in practice.
