If you import animal products or plant products from the EU, find out what your business needs to know about the new pre-notifying rules.

About this event

New requirements came into effect on 1 January 2022 for businesses importing products such as meat or plants to Great Britain from the EU. You are now required to pre-notify when importing most Products of Animal Origin, Animal By-Products, High Risk Food not of Animal Origin and regulated plants and plant products from the EU.

When importing these goods from the EU, you (or a representative acting on your behalf) may need to pre-notify authorities that your consignment will be entering Great Britain. You can do this on the relevant IT system. The change does not currently apply to goods moving from Ireland to Great Britain.

In this webinar international trade expert Mike Wilson from Go Exporting Ltd will explain what small business owners need to know about the pre-notification of goods. He will share guidance on importing food, animal by-products, plants and plant products to Great Britain.
