The South East is currently home to 77 Solar Photovoltaics sites generating 635 MWs of electricity. With a further 15 project awaiting construction, offering a further 489 MWs of power, Solar energy is a growing sector in the South East.
But what contribution does the regional solar generation make towards the energy demand across the South East. And beyond renewable energy generation what are the benefits to local communities and regional businesses?
Exploring the current and planned future solar developments across Essex, Kent & Medway and East Sussex, and with contributions from solar farm developers across the region, this event looks at how local businesses can become involved and benefit from this growing energy industry. They will address supply chain opportunities in the development and delivery of both large-scale installations, and smaller domestic and commercial Solar projects.
Launched earlier this year, the Clean Growth South East programme aims to engage with businesses across Essex, Kent and East Sussex, to understand their challenges and opportunities around achieving clean growth and will develop practical actions to support businesses to become greener and grow in this exciting sector.
This is the latest event to open for registrations in the series of virtual events and webinars from the Clean Growth South East programme, exploring topic areas across the energy and Clean Growth sectors and the opportunities these offer across the region for those looking to build sustainability into their lifestyles and homes, and for local companies seeing top maximise opportunities in these areas.
Full speakers line up for this event as part of the Clean Growth South East virtual series will be released soon. Don’t miss your chance to participate by REGISTERING TODAY for the session, and visit the Clean Growth South East website for online material, future events and much more.
